Lots of red, blue, and black fruit as well as some classic liquid rock-like minerality, iron, and savory, leafy herb notes all emerge from the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard, a big, rich, full-bodied effort that stays nicely focused, has ripe tannins, and a lively, elegant mouthfeel. It has lots of varietal character as well as the slightly more streamlined style of these 2021s. This beauty will benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age and evolve for 2-3 decades.

Black cherries, sage and hints of crushed stone all appear on the nose of the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard. Often one of the more concentrated and tannic of the Beckstoffer sites, this version is full-bodied and creamy in texture, yet also somewhat reserved and austere, with mocha overtones on the long finish.
